Summer Term

I hope you have all had a lovely two week Easter break! Welcome back to my favourite term! Sun shining, light mornings, what's not to love?

We have a jam-packed summer term, with educational visits, visitors coming in to work with us and of course, SPORTS DAY! For Year 6, these are your last few months at St Peter's so we will ensure you have the best memories of your time here before you start your new adventure at secondary school. Please check out the Summer Term Bubble Map below for more information of the finer details of our learning! Let's go!

Spring Term

Welcome back to school! We hope you have had a lovely festive break!

During this term, we have lots to look forward to! In Geography, we will be focusing on the location of oceans around the world. Can you name them all? Our Science will link nicely with our Widening Horizons project, as we will have engineering visitors at the end of January! They will help you look into potential STEM career opportunities.

Please check out our Spring Term Bubble Map below to find out about more of the wonderful things we will be up to before Easter arrives!

Autumn Term

Hello Year Five and Six children and families,

Welcome to your very first half term of the academic year! We have so many exciting,  things that we will be getting up to and Miss Ireson, Miss Howarth and I cannot wait to get started!

In our Geography unit we will be learning about Fair Trade and how we trade across the globe! Our visit to Cattewater Harbour will enhance our understanding of this, so keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming visit form that will be with you soon.

When we return from half term for Term 2, we will transport back thousands of years to the Shang Dynasty! We will be exploring leaders, weapons and tools during this period of time, along with trying to encrypt carvings!

I hope you are all feeling as excited as I am, as we open the chapter to the start of your journey in Upper Key Stage 2!
